If I could give it a zero I would. I have had fingerhut since 2017 and never missed a payment til this month. A mistake was made which didn't have anything to do with me and my finances were affected. I called them and told them. I had been paying for insurance I thought that would cover my account. I found out that insurance didn't cover my account. So what was I paying it for. I want my money back for the insurance. Then I will pay them. They are a rip off anyway.

Aug 21, 2024Been with these guys for a little over a year and almost done paying off what I’ve purchased with them… Apart from overpriced items their interest rates are sickening and their are always raising your credit limits to try and trap you into more debt with them but I’m at $92 with them even tho prior to the interest I was at like $81 once I’m done paying off what I owe I will no longer use them ever again and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use them…

Jun 23, 2024This is the most disreputable company I've ever done business with. On top of closing my old account without my knowledge or consent they have now informed me they are charging me $99 every 3 months for insurance on my account.I now have to go through a bunch of phone calls and paperwork in an attempt to try to have it removed. Close them down.

Jun 6, 2024I am happy that they let me try to build my credit back up once again even soon after i was put into collections with them. I was a bit sad tho that there are things that i hoped to purchase but either they didnt have my size or they ran out of product. It is nice tho that i do acknowledge the fact that they try to change up the items they have for sell.

Jun 20, 2024Fingerhut is absolutely garbage company. I opened an account. Used $30-$40 monthly. Paid balance off in full except for June 2024. Never late always paid in full. June 2024 had less than $30 balance. Paid in full when due. Payment posted 1 day late. And now credit score dropped 30+ points. This had nothing to do with me and everything to do with day due date fell on. Don't open account. Garbage

Updated Jan 31, 2021Good to improve credit score. You must read actual measurements of furniture and not rely on photos. I've found clothing runs small so I have only ordered sleepwear in larger sizes. I have gotten some quality items and the delivery has been good. The free shipping deals are not reasonable. The amount you must buy is really high and alot of items are ineligible for free shipping. I was supposed to pay sixteen dollars to ship a twenty three dollar pair of slippers! Not worth it.

19 reviews Mar 3, 2023Two stars is being kind and generous in the extreme - I rue the day I became involved with them - the most recent incident was an abject disaster - I was in desperate need of a printer - so I ordered the HP Officejet Pro 8025e - I haven't been pricing printers, and the Fingerhut price was $299 plus tax, etc. The box arrived, and upon installation two of the four cartridges were damaged - I called HP Support (who were shocked at the price - this printer retails at $169!) and advised me to pack up everything and send it back to Fingerhut. I thought HP might offer to send me the two damaged cartridges - but they stink - that's grist for another mill. I haven't made a decision, but what a HEADACHE Fingerhut is. Overpriced and damaged - enough said.

Advertisement Oct 20, 2022Uses bully tactics to pressure people into making a purchase for their overpriced, low quality items. Purchased a Christmas gift for someone, received the wrong item. Took until April before I finally received the correct item. I was harassed every day because I refused to pay my bill for the wrong item, but their team wouldnt file any paperwork so the dispute didn't progress. They eventually charged full price for the item because the holiday promotional period had ended, due to their delays.
Then they closed my credit account, and without my knowledge or consent, opened a new credit line under my name and social. This put a 45 point drop on my credit. If you have a fingerhut credit account, seek legal council.

I never purchase any goods from this company and I did requested to close our small business account with 0 USD balance. It is fake firm and this firm try to make money on interest. We are Virginia small business since May 2001 and we do not need credit from this kind of company as Fingerhut.

Nov 28, 2020I started out with fingerhut fresh start. After a year, I was given an increase of $700. Yes, prices are more expensive, but they do have specials and discounts, even free shipping at times. Fingerhut has helped me provide a Christmas for my kids, when I had no extra cash to purchase gifts for them. I pay my payments on time every month, which has raised my credit score quite a bit. I'm thankful that Fingerhut took a chance on me. My first line of credit, and after 6 years, I still purchase items from them.

Dec 2, 2022After my 2nd attempt my item showed up damaged again. I called cause I paid for the protection plan. I requested to please just simply send a simple replacement part but they insisted I needed to send the whole item back again to be examined. After sending them photos of the damage. At first they only wanted to give me a $20 coupon off my next purchase.. overall customer service is a joke, waste of money for the protection plan, I'm over ordering from them

They rip you off in interest and fees. How am I paying like 2000 dollars for almost 500 worth of merchandise. When you call customer service all they do is keep switching you to different departments and you can’t understand none of them so you discuss why are you paying so much. It’s not helping your credit it’s hurting it.

Apr 1, 2021We purchased our christmas presents in November from Fingerhut because they had an offer of "NO PAYMENTS UNTIL APRIL 2021" which I thought if we paid on it until April our interest charges would be lower. Went online to find out why the charges we still owe are higher that what we calculated found out they were charging interest rates for every month that were supposed to be free. FALSE ADVERTISING. When we asked why they stated this is their policy and basically sorry for luck you still owe.

Apr 30, 2022Fingerhut “Advantage” had some evasive explanation about having some internal issues with their bank funding but CONGRATULATIONS!! they opened a NEW line of credit for me with “Fingerfetti.” An account I did NOT request nor authorize. How is this not fraudulent? I’ve called and written demanding they CLOSE this fraudulent account immediately.
I knew going in what I was getting into, but after some time of them jacking with the account, continual credit increases and higher and higher “other” charges, I’m done. This company practices usury and it should be stopped. I’ll pay what I owe, but not a penny more. Class action perhaps? Crazy stuff!

I RETURNED THE MERCHANDISE UN OPENED. THEY RETURNED IT TO ME SAYING IT WAS TOO LATE. TALKED WITH REPRESTATIVE MADE AN AGREEMENT TO PAY WITH SOME REDUCED LATE CHARGES. THE AGREEMENT WAS NOT KEPT ON THIER PART I AM CONTINUING TO GET LATE CHARGES IF AFTER KEEPING MY AGREEMENT, WHY WOULD FINGERHUT SELL ITS CUSTOMERS OUT. ON THE12TH OF DECEMBER THEY SAID THEY WERE BUSY AND WOULD CALL ME BACK OF COURSE THEY DIDN'T

They call within two weeks of a payment being due say it's past due when it's not. Then when you tell them I am working they keep talking. Their products are crap. If your needing credit building pick a different avenue. Fingerhut is awful

Updated Oct 25, 2021FingerHut SUCKS. Almost 2 years now I havent been able to place ANY orders with them. Always get the message "One or more items cannot ship to Hawaii because of legal restrictions". and I cannot buy ANY THING at all no matter the cost. No one tries to help figure out the problem either. My credit has been going down down down because I cannot place a stupid order. Now - in December 2021; I'm about to lose my credit line entirely due to no activity because I cant buy anything from this hopeless company. If that's the case you know where you can stick that credit FingerHut! Worthless Company! FYI: Buy from Amazon, Walmart or Ebay often much cheaper than this ripoff company.
